Coffee Moment in Simplicity

by Christian Ovís

‘Coffee Moment in Simplicity’ depicts a cup on a saucer, drawn with thin black lines on an off-white background. A few long, undulating lines of steam rise above the cup. The rounded rim, the curved handle and the oval saucer are composed of several separate outlines. No table setting or further decoration has been included, ensuring that the coffee motif takes centre stage.

The composition has a minimalist, sketch-like quality. The repeated lines lend the simple shapes a slightly dynamic character. The steam connects the compact cup at the bottom with the open space above it. The handle forms a small spiral on the right-hand side. Black and warm white provide a clear contrast without any colour accents. The spacious background keeps the image calm and easily recognisable from a distance.

This coffee line art is suitable as wall art in a kitchen, dining room, coffee corner or quiet workspace. The neutral colours complement wood, light-coloured walls and black accessories. The piece can complement a Scandinavian, minimalist or contemporary interior. A plain wall emphasises the delicate lines. From a distance, you can see the cup and the rising steam. Up close, the double outlines, small curves and playful sketch lines become visible.
