At low tide, a bundle of seaweed remains on the wet sand of a vast beach. The colours are subtle: the shiny dark brown of the seaweed contrasts with the warm sand and the soft transitions in the horizon, where sea and sky almost merge.
The sharpness in the foreground emphasises detail, while the background fades into a calm, horizontal layering of nature. This is an image of simplicity - but also of impermanence. What was alive beneath the waves a moment ago is now exposed to the sun.
The beach lies deserted. No footsteps, no human presence. Only the silent evidence of tides coming and going. This image invites us to dwell on what is temporary.
