Along the coast of Brittany stretches an extraordinary landscape: rounded rocks of pink granite that seem to flow over each other in gentle shapes. This photo shows part of the Côte de Granit Rose at low tide, where the rocks are exposed and the shapes become fully visible.
The rocks have an almost organic look, as if sculpted by the elements. Wind, rain and sea water have worked here for millions of years to create what now looks like a natural sculpture.
The colours range from warm orange-brown to soft pink, contrasting with the blue sky and calm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Small pools and damp patches in the sand betray the receding water.
This place is not only geologically special, but also visually intriguing. The stillness of the moment and the sculptural shapes of the rock make this a landscape that feels at once powerful and hushed.
