This scene doesn’t just glow—it simmers. The sky here is layered with heat and softness all at once, with dense clouds rolling across the frame in thick bands while delicate wisps drift just above them. The palette shifts from deep purples and burnt orange to subtle pinks and lavender, all under a canopy of fading blue. The darker clouds seem to hold back a storm, while the lighter ones glow like embers still catching the last rays.
There’s no horizon in sight, no anchor point to ground the viewer. That was intentional. Framing the sky without land gives it a floating quality—more dream than document. The way the colors stack from warm to cool pulls the eye through the image slowly, with plenty of detail to linger on in each layer.
