About "BNW a Face in the Forest"

About the artwork

At first glance, it’s just a tangle of branches and leaves—but give it a moment, and you might notice something unexpected. Right in the center, the interplay of light and shadow forms what looks like a face, as if the forest itself is watching. It’s subtle, and not everyone sees it right away. That’s what I love about this frame: it rewards patience and quiet looking.

I took this during a walk in the woods where everything felt unusually still. The sun was filtering in gently through the canopy, and I happened to glance up at the right time. The way the light caught on the veins of the oak leaves, the soft backlighting, and the bark’s texture—it all came together like it was staged. But it wasn’t. That’s nature doing what it does best.

This photo has become one I keep coming back to. Maybe it’s the illusion of the face, or maybe it’s just how peaceful it felt in that moment. Either way, it stuck with me.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
