By Train Ryden, Forward and Backward is a digital edit of a photograph from my archive.
The photo has been digitally edited to create an abstract image with different, bright areas of colour that flow over and have their own structure.
It is a form of digital art, but using an existing photograph as a starting point to create the work.
The original photograph is the side of an old train, hence the "Ryden" instead of "Riding". The other metal signs with the texts forward and reverse on them have also remained visible in the editing as special and unique features of this photo.
Specialized in landscapes and nature, especially in the Netherlands. The Veluwe forests and the waterfront are common subjects, sometimes with the contrast of nature and human traces.
