About the artwork

Bugatti EB110 SuperSport supercar interior.

The Bugatti EB110 SuperSport, unveiled in 1992, is a high-performance evolution of the already formidable EB110 GT. Developed during the Italian-owned Bugatti era under Romano Artioli, the SuperSport (SS) was engineered to push boundaries in speed and technology. Its carbon fiber chassis, rare for the early '90s, combined with extensive weight-saving measures, shaved over 150 kg from the standard model.

Powered by a 3.5-liter quad-turbocharged V12 engine, the EB110 SS produces 612 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. Paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and all-wheel drive, it rockets from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 221 mph (355 km/h), making it one of the fastest cars of its time.

The EB110 SS features subtle yet aggressive design tweaks, including larger air intakes, a fixed rear wing, and lightweight magnesium wheels. Inside, it maintains a spartan yet luxurious cockpit, focused on performance without sacrificing refinement.

Only 30 units of the EB110 SuperSport were built, making it an ultra-rare collector’s gem. It remains a symbol of Bugatti’s engineering ambition and a precursor to the brand’s modern hypercar legacy, eventually culminating in the Veyron and Chiron.
