About ‘Brotherhood in the South African Wilderness’ by Bouke Willems

This shot shows a rare, symbolic moment: the less confident cheetah walks in the foreground, its gaze fixed resolutely on the horizon - cautiously, but bravely. In the distance, his dominant brother moves calmly through the landscape.
The distance between them tells a story of character differences, but also of deep connection. Even when they are not walking side by side, they remain inseparable.

The story took a tragic turn: the submissive brother was killed in an illegal snare by a poacher. His brother lives on, and through his descendants, their shared legacy also lives on.

Leo Africa, where this picture was taken, is committed to the conservation of wildlife species like the cheetah every day. Through education, anti-poaching patrols and protecting natural habitats, they fight for a future where these animals can continue to exist. These photos remind us why that fight is so important.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
