About "Benediktsplatz with a view of the Krämerbrücke"

About the artwork

The picture shows Benediktsplatz in Erfurt at night, looking towards the historic Krämerbrücke. The scene is characterised by festive lighting that stretches across the street and bathes the facades of the surrounding buildings in a calm light. In the centre is a striking building with the lettering "Schuhhaus", which serves as a landmark. A decorated Christmas tree can be seen on the left, while traces of light from passing vehicles hint at movement - an effect of the long exposure.

Benediktsplatz forms the southern entrance to the Krämerbrücke, one of Erfurt's most important landmarks. The bridge itself is unique in Europe: completely built-up and in continuous use for centuries. The square in front of it is a place of transition - between the old town, trade and history.

My intention was to capture this transition photographically - in a moment of calm, but not of emptiness. The festive lighting and the night-time scenery create a restrained, almost contemplative atmosphere.

The image conveys a sense of urban tranquillity and historical presence. In an interior, it acts as a calm, structured eye-catcher - ideal for rooms seeking a combination of urban history, light and modern clarity.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
