About "Baroque splendour in the Strahov Library"

About the artwork

Some places feel like a trip back in time - Prague's Strahov Library is a brilliant example. This picture shows the famous Baroque hall, where centuries-old books reach up to the richly decorated ceiling full of artistic frescoes. The warm wood of the floor and the impressive globes in the centre create an atmosphere of tranquillity and timeless wisdom.
What inspired me was the sense of wonder and respect for the past: this is where generations of stories have been preserved, knowledge shared and dreams shaped.

When making this shot, I wanted to emphasise the symmetry and grandeur of the hall. The soft light, falling through the tall windows, brings the details to life and lets the rich colours speak for themselves. Every corner tells a different story; from the open book to the sculptures and ancient globes. It is a place where you can wander endlessly between history, art and culture.

This piece brings an atmosphere of tranquillity, class and inspiration to any interior. Perfect for lovers of books, history and architecture, or for anyone who loves unique, worldly touches on the wall.

About Roy Poots

In 2009 Roy Poots bought his very first SLR camera, a Canon EOS 450D. After having photographed everything for a while, he realised that he liked landscapes, architecture and (nocturnal) cityscapes the most by far. Since then, he has devoted himself to these subjects.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
