Iceland is known for its spectacular nature, but few moments are as unforgettable as seeing the northern lights over a waterfall. This photo shows Skógafoss, one of the country's most iconic waterfalls, bathed in the green light of the aurora borealis. What inspired me was the sheer magic of the moment: the stillness of the night, the muffled sound of falling water and the dancing light immersing everything in a surreal atmosphere.
For this shot, I deliberately chose a quiet composition, doing full justice to both the waterfall and the northern lights. The sense of space, wonder and adventure is exactly what I wanted to capture in this image. Every time I look at this picture, I remember how insignificant you can feel in Icelandic nature.
