About the artwork

Assekrem is a high plateau in the Hoggar Mountains in southern Algeria. Located in the Ahaggar National Park, it is known for its spectacular scenery and serene, isolated location.

I was here for film shoots in 2007.

A black-and-white edited photograph of the Assekrem sunrise in Algeria presents itself as a more artistic interpretation of reality, through the addition of texture.
The texture, which feels both grainy and slightly rough, gives the landscape a tangible quality that goes beyond pure photographic registration. It makes the rock formations, with their majestic peaks and gently rolling contours, almost tangible. This texture enhances the sense of age and the erosion of the elements, as if every rock and mountain carries the history of the desert within it. It gives the image a deeper, almost painterly dimension, inviting the viewer to explore the subtle nuances of the surface.

You are standing in a place that has remained unchanged for thousands of years, a landscape that defies time. The deep silence is broken only by the gentle wind brushing over the rocks, an ancient breathing. In this vast, almost otherworldly landscape, you feel both tiny and deeply connected.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
