About "Against the Line"

About the artwork

This vertical photo shows an atmospheric and typically Dutch scene: a vast tulip field in full bloom. In the centre of the picture, a narrow, sandy path runs between two rows of fiery tulips. The flowers are red with yellow edges, and their petals open towards the soft light. The rows seem to continue endlessly towards the horizon, where farms and vague tree shapes are visible in a blurred background. The perspective creates a strong depth effect that draws the viewer into the picture.

Notable in this picture is a tulip that has thrown itself out of the row and is growing idiosyncratically in the middle of the path. This single flower, with its slender stem and gracefully drooping heads, forms a visual anchor - almost as if telling a story about individuality within the crowd. The earth in the path is gently ridged by human activity or machinery, indicating the meticulousness of its cultivation.

The lighting is natural and soft, probably taken on an overcast day or in the early morning/late afternoon. As a result, the colours are vibrant but not oversaturated. The image exudes a combination of tranquillity, rhythm and organic imperfection.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
