Cloudy bulges and blades of grass, what are you looking at? You see a ditch with water and at the bottom the so-called primal, also called iron ore. Oar is created by seepage. Seepage is groundwater coming to the surface and is created by higher water pressure (hydrostatic pressure) in deeper, sandy soil layers. The rust-brown colour occurs after oxidation of iron present in groundwater.
Long story short: nature produces a beautiful abstract image here. I took this photo in the Onlanden, a water storage area in the head of Drenthe.
