About ‘A stationary journey’ by Grace Hewitt

A close-up look into the cockpit of a scrapped bus. The steering wheel is intact, but the surroundings betray the ravages of time: a worn leather seat, dried out and cracked, lies in view like a ruin of comfort. Shards of glass are scattered everywhere from a broken windscreen - dusty, sharp and chaotic. The viewer is almost forced to focus on every focused detail: the steering wheel, the remains of the poke button, the dust that has settled like a grey haze over the interior.

In the background you can see faint traces of what was once a shed, now just a silhouette in decay. This image captures the stillness after the movement, the remnants of a journey that was never completed. It is a hushed confrontation with desolation and oblivion.

A photograph that raucously, almost cinematically, captures the essence of urbex: how even the most mundane thing - a bus - can exude something uncanny and powerful when time takes hold of it.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
