I took this photo on the Hulshorsterzand near the village of Hulshorst in the municipality of Nunspeet on the Veluwe. I was standing on a part where there is heather as you can see, the heather was still purple even though it was no longer pretty. There is also grass between se heather bushes which also means it doesn't become a purple plain by the end of summer. For this photo, I put my camera on a tripod and used a polarisation filter as a grey gradient filter. I used the polarisation filter to make the colours stand out better and the grey gradient filter to darken the sky so you can see the clouds better. As you can see, some sunlight did come through the clouds. The trees you see are birch and pine. The hills you see in the photo are dunes created by the wind, as it is a drifting sand area where I took this photo.
