Years ago, I bought a plaster cast of Tutankhamun’s death mask – a pharaoh of ancient Egypt – at a flea market. When he died, his body was mummified and placed in a sarcophagus with a golden mask over his face. He was buried in a pyramid in the Valley of the Kings.
