I took this picture near the hamlet of Drie in the municipality of Ermelo. Despite the fact that it is a piece of flat coniferous forest, it is truly a Veluws landscape. I have chosen to convert this portrait photo to black and white. I also tried to add depth to the picture. This piece of forest consists of pine trees with ferns on the ground. What kind of pines they are I do not know, it would be very likely that these trees were once intended for wood production or use in mining. In any case, they are long straight trunks. I hesitated for a while to leave the photo in color, in black and white it is more beautiful anyway.
