I took this black-and-white photo in the De Haere nature reserve near Doornspijk in the Veluwe. I was standing on the sand drift in the nature reserve right next to the A28 motorway. I chose this pine because of the shape of the tree and especially the trunk. To make this photo, I took 5 photos with different exposures and afterwards merged them into 1 HDR photo, also converting the photo to black-and-white. Of course, my camera was on a tripod when taking the photos. I did choose to keep this photo in 2-by-3 ratio as it came out of the camera.
