Woman's Head series on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Diego Manuel Rodriguez
The Woman's Head series brings together portraits that do not seek to depict a specific individual, but rather explore identity, memory, and emotion through the human face.
Each painting begins with a recognizable structure that gradually transforms through planes of color, lines, and geometric forms. The face is fragmented and reconstructed, creating a balance between recognizable figuration and abstraction. The expressions remain open-ended, inviting viewers to discover new interpretations with every encounter.
This series is part of my ongoing exploration of contemporary portraiture, where the traditions of painting engage with a visual language influenced by Cubism, formal simplification, and a continuous search for new ways of representing the human figure.
Rather than individual portraits, these works are spaces for contemplation, where the human face becomes a meeting point between emotion, imagination, and painting itself.
