The Corn Bunting is quite inconspicuous, but with its typical yellow bunting beak it is almost unmistakable. While the species was quite common just a few decades ago, populations have recently declined dramatically almost everywhere. Habitat destruction, lack of suitable nesting sites and food shortages are increasingly causing problems for the buntings.
