About the artwork

In Torn, Denny Stoekenbroek captures a moment of stillness and power in a single sideways glance. The woman in the portrait seems almost to dissolve into her surroundings - her silhouette forming from an explosion of charcoal dust and grainy structures reminiscent of smoke, ash or even stardust. Yet her face remains sharp, confident and serene, like an anchor in the midst of chaos.

The work plays with contrast: between control and letting go, between sharpness and blurring, between light and darkness. The facial features are carefully worked out, with great attention to detail, while the hair and shoulder area transition into an expressive and almost abstract movement. It is as if the figure both appears and disappears - a beautiful field of tension that raises questions but reveals nothing completely.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
