About ‘the pestle’ by Fotokamer

The pistils of a tulip are the female reproductive organ of the flower. Each tulip usually has one pistil, which consists of three parts: the stigma, the style and the fertile pistil. The stigma is located at the top of the style and is the part of the pistil where pollen is received. Below the stigma is the style, a tubular structure that transports the pollen to the fertile pistil. The fertile pistil contains the ova and is the lower part of the pistil.

The pistils of a tulip play a crucial role in the reproduction of the plant. When an insect, such as a bee, transfers pollen from another tulip to the stigma of the flower, fertilisation can take place and seeds can be formed. This ensures the reproduction and survival of the tulip as a species.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
