In this work, you see a close-up of rough earth and asphalt, in which pebbles and dark grains form an almost otherworldly texture. If you look closely, you will discover sparkles and organic patterns among the black.
The inspiration came during a walk, when I suddenly dwelled on the beauty of something we often ignore: the ground beneath our feet. This image shows that even something like asphalt can tell a story.
The atmosphere is earthy and raw, with a mysterious depth. It feels cool and powerful, but at the same time quiet and familiar - as if it has been around for centuries.
For me, this work is about impermanence and the beauty of the everyday. It is a reminder that beauty does not always have to be grand or bright - sometimes it is literally under your feet.
Here, I have played with macro photography to bring texture to life. The play of sharpness and blur creates an almost abstract landscape that invites the viewer to come closer.
This work fits well in interiors where texture and natural forms are appreciated. It appeals to people with an eye for detail, or who like the contrast between rough and refined.
