Close to the Naardermeer, the Netherlands' first nature reserve, lies "Stadzigt". Formerly a farm now a guesthouse and the management office of Natuurmonumenten. Boat trips on the Naardermeer depart from here. To protect the boat from the weather elements, a boathouse was built. On the roof of this boathouse sat a young black-headed gull. In the backlight, it formed a beautiful silhouette.
