Collages sometimes arise quite by chance. My daughter brought back some typical Swedish products from her holiday in Sweden, including a packet of crispbread. The beautiful blue of the packaging became the basis for this collage; I combined it with ochre to create a warm atmosphere. To blend the different images, I use paper that I paint or print in the right colour.
Knäckebröd reminds me of my high school days. I always had crackers with me to school back then; I still love eating them! Back then, I had the hairstyle of one of the girls in this collage ? And so a whole story soon emerges. For me, that is. That's how I inspire myself! Hope you also love crackers and deep blue and ochre! This collage is made up entirely of (magazine) paper, acrylic paint, textiles and dried leaves.
