These impressive cast-iron cannons take us back to a time when they symbolised the power and innovation of military technology. Here are some interesting facts:

Historical Background
Cast iron cannons were developed and popular in the 16th century thanks to their lower cost compared to bronze cannons. They were essential for ships and forts.

The Netherlands played an important role in the production of these cannons, especially during the Golden Age, when they were used to protect trade routes.

Technical Details
These cannons fired heavy iron bullets meant to breach walls or sink enemy ships.

The firing caused tremendous recoil, requiring sturdy bases and reinforced walls.

Fun Facts

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
