Tips for use

About ‘abstract 'Chesil Cove' in Dorset’ by Tymn Lintell

An acrylic abstract expression of 'Deadmans cove/Chesil cove' at the end of the unique 27km long Chesil Beach on the Isle of Portland in Dorset UK.
As the prevailing storms and powerful swells roll across the Atlantic ocean from Bermuda they fetch-up upon this spit of land that sticks out into the English Channel.
In times-gone-by sailing ships trading goods around the world could not battle these prevailing winds and would be driven ashore and wrecked in this beautiful cove at the easterly end of the mighty Chesil. An important part of our Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site story.
I've known of this location for many years and visit frequently to paint or photograph or just sit in the amazing Quiddles cafe nursing a glass of wine. This is the ultimate sunset or storm watching location!
