About the artwork

A beautiful view across Amsterdam's Geldersekade, towards the Nieuwmarkt neighbourhood with the Zuiderkerk or St. Janskerk.
This is in autumn, early in the morning in a still largely dormant city.
The trees are beginning to lose their leaves in the rising autumn sun.

Construction of the Zuiderkerk, a design by Hendrik de Keyzer, began in 1603, but lack of money halted work bihna four years before finally being completed in 1614.
The only surviving child of Rembrandt and Saskia Uylenburgh, son Titus was baptised in this church in 1641.

Around 1970, the church was closed because it became too dilapidated. In the years 1976-'79, the church was restored.
In honour of the 400th anniversary, a church service was held again for the first time in 2014.
The last refurbishment was in 2017 after which the tower regained its original dark grey colour.

An atmospheric sight for tourists and a recognisable image for the real Amsterdammer.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
