"The girl dressed in blue" is inspired by the painting of the old Dutch master Johannes Corneliszoon Verspronck (1600-1662 Haarlem).
Verspronck was a contemporary of Frans Hals and may have worked in his studio.
The portrait of the girl in blue is one of his most important portraits.
This painting is on display in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
The model in this picture is 8 year old Fiene.
