Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

About ‘Zugspitze - View of the Eibsee’ by Thomas Bugdoll

This photo of Lake Eibsee, which is completely covered in ice, was taken from the summit of the Zugspitze. The mountain station of the glacier cable car is located here. The Zugspitze massif is beautifully reflected in the glass of the panorama restaurant. This glorious winter's day with a blue sky was ideal for taking photos.

The Eibsee is located directly at the foot of the Zugspitze, near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The 8 small islands in the lake are a particular highlight. The lake is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the Bavarian Alps due to its location below the Zugspitze and its clear, green-coloured water.

At 2962 metres above sea level, the Zugspitze is the highest peak in the Wetterstein mountain range and Germany's highest mountain. The Zugspitze massif lies to the south-west of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen consists of two towns that were united in 1935. From Garmisch, you can easily reach the Zugspitze using the railway operated by Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG. We recommend a "round trip" with the Zugspitze cable car, the cog railway and the glacier railway. During the journey, you will always have an impressive view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
