This photo shows a herd of plains zebra gathered at one of the typical waterholes in Etosha National Park in Namibia. The park is one of the best-known game reserves in southern Africa and is particularly famous for its great biodiversity and open savannah landscapes. While some of the zebras drink carefully, others stand attentively at the edge - always ready to react to possible predators. More zebras graze in the background, impressively reflecting the enormous density of wildlife in Etosha. The scene conveys an authentic picture of the natural rhythm of life in the African savannah: water is a precious commodity and every animal must seize its moment at the waterhole. The contrast between the striking black and white stripes of the zebras and the warm, earthy colours of the landscape lends the motif a special visual tension. This picture captures not just an everyday element of African wildlife, but an essential one - a moment that radiates tranquillity, energy and wilderness at the same time.
