A juvenile blue tit sits on the edge of a drinking bowl in the garden. The downy little ball allowed itself to be photographed quietly on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Our green backyard has many natural hiding places for garden birds, so we are lucky to see a diversity of birds throughout the year.
The Blue Tit has a distinctive blue 'cap', a yellow breast, a narrow black eye stripe, a black-blue chin patch and bluish wings. Males are brighter in colour than females and juveniles.
