Part of a series of abstract street photography. I try to give the photo's an abstraction, where the street scene is recognisable but the people in the street scene are less conspicuous, but are an important part of this street scene. A touch of people combined with striking colours, making you wonder at first 'what am I looking at'.
This photo is full of surprise and wonder. This photo makes you wonder what the little boy is thinking about and you can fill in that thought all by yourself. The photo was taken in Gilgit - Balstistan in Pakistan in a tiny cafe. While people around him, this little boy suddenly stands still when he has nodded and confirmed that I can take his picture. He may be wondering why exactly a tourist wants to take his picture and then also through the window of the cafe. With this photo, I want to encourage people to think, to imagine, to muse.
Following a recent exhibition where this series of photo's were on display, these photo's will only be available as a limited edition with a maximum of 10 prints via Werk aan de Muur, so be quick.
