About "Woubrugge village church Kaag en Braassem"

About the artwork

Construction of the church

After the church of the now entirely disappeared village of Jacobswoude was demolished around 1586, a new Reformed Church arose in Woubrugge, first mentioned in 1622. This church was soon too small for the growing congregation. It made way for the present church building, which was built in 1652-1653. 537 piles were driven and the construction cost 20,760 guilders, 12 nickels and 8 dimes at the time. The walls of the church are 70 cm thick.

In the church, in front of the pulpit is the tombstone of the Lords and Ladies from the Van den Woude family, originally from the church that stood in Jacobswoude until 1586. The swinging bell dates from 1665 and was made by the Hemony firm. The organ in Louis-XVI shapes was donated in 1794 by the then craftswoman and made by the Leiden organ builder Johannes Mitterreither.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
