In the spring when the trees do not have many leaves yet, the forest floor plants bloom first. Then they still have enough light. The woodland hyacinth is one such plant. In some forests they form a carpet of flowers. When, in addition, the young beech and birch leaves begin to grow you get a true miracle of purple and green. Occasionally another plant pokes through. Ferns, for example, also begin to sprout. What a lovely spring scene. This is a true feast for the eyes and a wonderful place to unwind.
