Woman with a violin

by TheXclusive Art

The painting ‘Woman with Violin’ brings the passion of violin playing to life in an expressive and multi-layered composition, in which a multifaceted female figure with her head bowed and a clearly recognisable instrument create a musical scene brimming with rhythm and concentration. This remarkable work of art depicts the orange-brown soundbox, the black bow and the sharp contours of the clothing and hands, whilst the visible brushstrokes capture the movement in an artistic and contemporary manner. The grey, cream and warm orange tones lend the whole a refined appearance that subtly yet powerfully reflects the emotion of the music.

Diagonal lines from the bow and the strings cut through the overlapping planes, causing the figure and the instrument to merge, creating a balanced, almost dancing composition.

The soft taupe in the background and the warm accents make this piece ideal for a stylish and varied interior. On the wall of a living room, study or dining room, it forms an elegant focal point, whilst above a sofa or in a light-filled hall, it fills the wall with colour and character.

Violinists, music lovers and admirers of Cubism will find that this painting brings the sound of a string instrument to their wall.
