Woman with Dog – Colourful Portrait featuring a Dachshund in Warm Earth Tones by Bianca ter Riet

A modern, graphic art style. The woman is wearing a striking green hat and large round earrings, and is lovingly holding her faithful dog close to her. The combination of the woman’s portrait and the dog gives the artwork a warm and personal feel.

The warm earth tones of orange, ochre yellow, terracotta, olive green and petrol blue create an atmospheric colour palette. The rich orange-toned background enhances the warm feel and gives the artwork a sunny, almost Mediterranean atmosphere. The large green hat forms a powerful graphic element and lends the portrait a contemporary and stylish look.

The simple shapes, distinct blocks of colour and visible textures give this modern illustration a playful and artistic character. At the same time, the woman’s serene demeanour provides balance. Her closed eyes and the relaxed way in which she holds her dog emphasise the sense of tranquillity, trust and love.

This artwork is an atmospheric choice for lovers of female portraits, dogs, animal love, colourful art and modern wall décor. The warm colours fit beautifully into a modern, bohemian, rustic or eclectic interior and can instantly add atmosphere and personality to a room.

The special bond between humans and animals is central to this artwork. The image shows how a dog is not just a pet, but also a loyal companion and part of everyday life.

I find inspiration in women, their charisma, character and individuality. In this piece, I combine that with the loving bond between a woman and her dog.

A warm and colourful portrait of a woman with her dog that radiates a sense of cosiness, freedom and connection, making it ideal as wall art, a poster or an art print.
