In this painting, you look straight into the eyes of a wolf. The gaze is sharp but controlled, a combination of calmness and alertness. The fur is composed of layers of brushstrokes in shades of blue and grey, with subtle accents here and there in ochre. This creates depth and texture, as if you can feel the cold in the hair. The background is still, but moves slightly with the rhythm of the fur.
The work exudes an intense calm, with underlying strength. It evokes associations with silence in snowy forests, and the magic of the moment you meet a wild animal. Perfect for lovers of nature, Scandinavian simplicity or those attracted to the symbolism of the wolf: intuition, freedom and connection to the pack. A rarefied beauty for any interior seeking strength and balance.
My inspiration for creating a collection of animal portraits was inspired by my childhood, growing up among animals. My parents kept goats and sheep, among others, and that is where my love for nature and animal life was born. Each animal had its own character, its own look, its own energy, and it is precisely this diversity that still fascinates me. In these paintings, I try to capture not only the form, but especially the soul of the animal.
