About "Winter painting in Metz"

About the artwork

In the middle of winter, light is scarce inside the flat. In this half-light, the window becomes a living tableau, revealing an old façade of Metz under a light fall of snow. The snowflakes dance in front of the windows, softening the contours of the stonework and roofs. The choice of black and white reinforces this timeless impression: the city freezes in an almost unreal silence.

I wanted to capture this suspended moment, where the dark interior contrasts with the diffuse clarity of the exterior. The window plays a dual role here: it frames the scene like a work of art and also symbolises the boundary between refuge and openness to the world.

This photograph conveys the winter atmosphere as I experienced it: an impression of calm, of slowness, but also of poetry. It invites contemplation, as if each snowflake had its own story to tell. In an interior, it conveys an intimate, elegant atmosphere, ideal for those who love images imbued with nostalgia and serenity.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
