One summer evening on Sion hill, the sky was adorned with a rare beauty, like a fleeting gift. The Milky Way stretched out above me in an explosion of deep hues, where blues mingled with purples in a striking natural harmony. It was this palette offered by nature that I wanted to capture, without artifice, to preserve all its magic.
As I watched this scene, a melody came to mind: Vincent by Don McLean, a tribute to Van Gogh and his ability to magnify starry skies. Like a bridge between painting, music and photography, this image bears a nod to the artist who knew how to see the infinite in the stars.
Taken in long exposure, this photograph conveys the luminous intensity of the celestial vault while retaining the softness and poetry of the moment.
