The old town of Maastricht is home to the workshop of violin maker Martin Rijsemus. Half-finished violins stand on a wooden workbench, their lacquered sound boxes gleaming in the soft light. Together with fine tools like gouges, sheepskins and brushes, the entire shop window forms a scene full of craftsmanship and dedication. A world where time seems to stand still and the music already starts at the wood.
