About ‘Windmill The Goliath’ by Henk Meijer Photography
A spring evening at the mill 'Goliath', a polder mill or wind-fed screw mill of the octagonal overhead windmill type. The most northerly (near Eemshaven) of Groningen's polder mills is, like most polder mills, a grondzeiler. 'De Goliath' was built in 1897 to replace its predecessor which was destroyed by fire in that year.
