At the historical site of Port Arthur in Tasmania, I spotted this cottage. It is named after William Smith O'Brien. Who was a member of British parliament and a leader of the Young Ireland Movement. As one of the movement leaders he was aming for the self governmentship of Ireland. He became unsuccesful and was send to Australia for life in 1849. He lifed in this cottage for only about one year. He received a tickets of leave and left in 1854 to go to Brussels.
