The afternoon sun spills gold
like warm honey on the earth,
its fingers stretching wide,
casting long shadows of trees and dreams,
each one a story whispering
through the gentle rustle of leaves.
Joy dances in this shimmering light,
filling the air with laughter,
as children chase the sunbeams,
their shadows flickering like fireflies,
a symphony of carefree moments,
where time bends to the warmth of play.
Birds sing a soft serenade,
their melodies weaving through the breeze,
as petals open, unfurling joy,
each blossom a testament
to the beauty found in stillness,
every color a brushstroke of bliss.
The heart swells in this golden hour,
where worries dissolve like sugar in tea,
and the soul finds solace,
wrapped in the embrace of light,
a reminder that even the longest shadows
are merely reflections of the joy we hold within.
