The play of waves and the wind. The waves trying to reach the beach to throw up sand or drag it into the ocean. The wind trying to keep the waves off the beach, and the resulting whitecaps of foam. A hypnotic spectacle from which you don't want to walk away anytime soon. Each subsequent wave may be more beautiful, more graceful, more rugged, or otherwise more special than the previous wave. Even the cold wind, cutting heart beating in my face doesn't manage to break my motivation to stay here. It's not just what you see, it's also what you smell, what you hear and what you taste. All the senses are stimulated. Just looking, or photographing too. You don't want to see the world only through your viewfinder, but every time you look past the viewfinder at the spectacle, another more fascinating wave rolls onto the beach. I manage to catch the most beautiful and graceful wave with my camera. A nice lucky moment for the photographer.
