This oh-so-little cherry pit beetle required quite a bit of patience, as it would not sit still. If, as is proper in macro, you work completely manually, you sometimes have to have a lot of patience and also some luck to print at the right moment.
Speed is therefore very important here in combination with a limited depth of field.
My macro photos are taken with a Laowa 100mm ultramacro which has a magnification ratio of 2:1 and is fully manual. My "octopus" macro flash with adjustable heads was used for the photo.
My idea behind macro photography is, the smaller the subject, the more I like it.
It is always my intention to try to portray the fragility of this kind of "mini-wildlife" in the big world around the subject
