About ‘When robins appear, loved ones are near’ by Daphne Mierop

A blue vase filled with pale pink peonies on a small wooden table catches the eye of a robin. The wall behind it is a deep yellow, almost golden in colour.

I’ve always found robins utterly charming. They always seem to be there when you need them, just to let you know you’re not alone. Whether it’s snowing during the long, cold winter, or when the buds on the trees promise that spring is on its way, this little bird is there.

Peonies are like fairy tales in bud. You need a little patience, but it’s more than worth the wait. The most beautiful petals unfold from the bud.

I created this piece for my own home. After an intensive renovation, this was the first thing I hung up. Because, for me, it represents a new beginning. I have combined two photo's of my own. I photographed the robin in the dunes, close to my home. I photographed the bouquet of peonies in my home studio.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
