When autumn meets winter – Triglav National Park, Slovenia

by Rolf Schnepp

A special moment in Triglav National Park in Slovenia: whilst the mountain slopes are still ablaze with the warm colours of autumn, the first snow has already blanketed the rugged peaks of the Julian Alps. Between the dark rock formations and the colourful mountain forest, thick mist drifts across the landscape, lending the scene an almost mystical atmosphere. The interplay of autumnal gold, rust-coloured foliage, deep-green conifers and the fresh white of the snow creates a fascinating contrast between two seasons. The rising wisp of mist causes the mountain world to vanish time and again, only to reveal the jagged rock faces once more. This creates an extraordinary atmospheric landscape that reflects the quiet magic of the Slovenian Alps. This nature scene combines the colourful beauty of autumn with the clarity of the approaching winter. As a high-quality art print, canvas print or framed wall hanging, this alpine landscape brings a touch of unspoilt nature and a special atmosphere to living spaces, offices and other rooms. An atmospheric landscape image for lovers of the mountains, nature photography and the stunning landscapes of Slovenia.
