This fascinating black and white image of the Zeeland Bridge in the Netherlands was created using an extreme long exposure. The water therefore appears as a smooth, mirror-like surface without any structure, while the clouds move dynamically across the sky and look as if they have been painted. Their dramatic shape emphasises the strong sea wind that was blowing that day.
By using an ultra-strong grey filter, it was possible to achieve an exposure time of two minutes, which gives the picture its unmistakable, calm and at the same time powerful character.
